This Privacy Policy explains how your personal data is collected, used, shared, and protected when you use the Seek for Consumer and Seek Biz mobile applications and related services (together, “Seek”). We are committed to handling your personal data in accordance with Republic Act No. 10173 (the Data Privacy Act of 2012), its Implementing Rules and Regulations, and issuances of the National Privacy Commission (NPC).
Seek is operated by Mithiin Software Development Services, a sole proprietorship registered with the Philippine Department of Trade and Industry (DTI Business Name Reg. No. NCYL671719248596) (“Mithiin”, “we”, “us”, “our”). We are based in Davao City, Philippines, and we act as the Personal Information Controller for the personal data described in this Policy.

When you sign in, you use Google Sign-In (on Android and iOS) or Sign in with Apple (on iOS). We receive from that provider, and store:
You may optionally add a phone number to your profile. We do not collect or store any password — sign-in is handled entirely by Google or Apple.
If you list a business, we collect the details you provide about it: business name, description, category, address and map location, contact phone, email and website, operating hours, social links, payment methods accepted, and photos. Some of these (for example, a contact number that is also your personal number) may constitute your personal data.
As you use Seek, we record how you interact with businesses so the features can work, including:
With your permission, both apps may access your device’s location — in Seek for Consumer to show and sort nearby businesses, and in Seek Biz to help set a business’s map location. You can grant or revoke this permission at any time in your device settings; the apps remain usable without it (with reduced location features).
When you use Seek we automatically collect limited technical data needed to operate and secure the service: your IP address, device and app information (user-agent), session identifiers (stored only as a one-way hash), and timestamps of your sessions.
We may offer push notifications. If and when this feature is available and you grant permission, we collect a device push token (via Firebase Cloud Messaging) so we can deliver notifications to your device. You can disable notifications in your device settings.
What we do not collect: We do not ask for your date of birth, age, government ID, TIN, or any payment, card, or bank details. Seek does not process payments or handle money. We also do not use third-party advertising or analytics trackers.

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with service providers who process data on our behalf, under appropriate safeguards, and only as needed to run Seek:

We may also disclose personal data where required by law, regulation, court order, or lawful request by a public authority.
Some of our service providers process data outside the Philippines (for example, our hosting is in Singapore and our image storage is in the United States). Where personal data is transferred abroad, we remain accountable for it and take reasonable steps to ensure it receives a comparable level of protection, consistent with RA 10173.
We keep your personal data for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide Seek. When you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your personal data and your associated content within a reasonable period, except where we are required to retain certain records to comply with the law, resolve disputes, or enforce our agreements. Limited technical logs are kept only for a short period for security purposes.
Under the Data Privacy Act, you have the right to: be informed; access your personal data; have inaccurate data corrected; object to or withdraw consent for certain processing; have your data erased or blocked; data portability; be indemnified for damages; and to lodge a complaint with the National Privacy Commission.
You can update your profile and delete your account directly in the app. To exercise any other right, email support@mithiin.tech and we will respond within a reasonable time.
We apply reasonable organizational, physical, and technical security measures to protect your personal data — including encrypted connections (HTTPS), storing session tokens only as one-way hashes, never storing passwords, and limiting access to data. No system is perfectly secure, but we take protection seriously and will notify you and the NPC of a personal data breach as required by law.
Seek is intended for users 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
The Seek mobile apps do not use advertising cookies or third-party analytics trackers. Our public web pages (such as this one) use only what is strictly necessary to serve the page.
We may update this Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Continued use of Seek after an update means you accept the revised Policy.
